Sven Trained in garden design at Capel Manor school of horticulture and has vast experience in all things landscape..
Most recently Sven has been working closely with Marshalls plc on their innovative ‘Garden Visualiser’ An on-line tool that allows users to draw and visualise their own gardens in a 3d virtual world.
Last year, in between his private design commissions, Sven has managed to film with Five, GMTV, This Morning and UKTV Style Gardens. He is one of UKTV’s main gardening faces with over 100 hours of programming. Including ‘Turf Wars Celebrity Special’ ‘Dream Cottage’ in association with The Daily Mail. Prior to this, he starred in the latest series of BBC1’s hugely popular ‘Garden Invaders’ presenting with Charlie Dimmock (Endemol UK) and remains one of UKTV Style’s main gardening faces, fronting one of the channels flagship shows “Model Gardens” (Reef Television).
In 2004 Sven wrote his first book ‘Lifescapes – Garden Designs For Your Lifestyle’. The book looks at lifestyle trends and how they can be interpreted and translated into garden designs. Prior to this he designed and co-presented two series of ‘Garden ER’ (aired April 2003), ‘Weed it and Reap’ and ‘Columbia Road Gardens’ for UKTV Style where he single-handedly converted outside urban spaces into amazing designs, using purchases from the legendary Columbia Road Flower market.
Sven’s work has previously been seen at the Daily Telegraph House and Garden Fair, where he exhibited alongside Joe Swift and Linda Barker. He also created a hugely popular UK Style garden for the Urban Gardens Show at Olympia and has appeared at the BBC Gardeners World Live show at the Birmingham NEC for Q & A sessions.
When Sven is not busy filming or designing gardens through his company he is writing his own column for the UKTV Style website and has contributed to a variety of magazines including Elle, TV Times and Your Home & Garden. Sven has worked on numerous projects around the country. |
